The latest build is near complete. Star wars Artic Mandalorian cosplay. Right gantlet controls the backpack wirelessly. The backpack has an electric cooling system that blows cool air into the helmet.

Right gauntlet also has displays, one shows outside temperature and humidity, the other shows a basic non-functional tracking device.

The helmet has a red light on left earcap. In right earcap is a 22 channel walkie talkie and is activated by a button on earcap. On the chin is a voice amp.

After a couple years from building, This is my first build, A custom version of the nighthawk helmet, based on the animated clone wars tv series deathwatch after Maul took over. Sorry for the shiny visor, at time of pics, I don't have the final visor, which will also be weathered to match.

rework of my classic cylon costume

I am currently reworking my classic battlestar galactica cylon costume. I am repairing parts and upgrading the eye to my version 4 kit. I am also adding a on the fly voice changer.

reference pic from 2011

structural repairs to the helmet are done. Just need to retouch up paint, Install new eye scanner.

I am also making a correct undersuit. This pic is of the undersuit for the silver cylon centurion, the gold centurion has a all black undersuit.

I revamped the belt for the install of the on the fly voice changer. on the original, the belt provided the power to run the eye. Because I have updated the eye to use modern electronics, the power can be in the helmet, the belt now contains exciter speakers for the voice.

The exciter speaker does not have a cone like a normal speaker, instead it is only the driver and uses the flat surface it is attached to to replace the cone. In this case the plastic cover is used as the speaker. Here is a audio test using a Mp3 player as audio source and going through a 10 watt amp.

The voice changer is built around a electro harmonix iron lung vocoder. This is a pic of a early experimental setup. The voice amp will be replaced by the belt. The Mp3 player will be replaced by a electronic ciruit board. The mic in the helmet will be wireless.

Mandalorian for my daughter

I am making a simple mandalorian costume for my daughter. Here is her helmet, its in the finishing stage. the first pic is what shape her helmet will be.

Here is the helmet after assembly, but not finished. yes it made from a $1 store hat and sign plastic.

I guess its time to update this. Been busy with many things and life.

I have been working on a mandalorian costume for a while. For those that don't know what a mandalorian is, think star wars Boba fett.

I am doing a custom version of a snow mandalorian. For this type of costume, I will have a life support backpack. I have the helmet done. I am currently working on the ear domes to finish off the helmet.

Here is a test fit of the ear dome.

The black nubs in the outriggers is for a hose that goes to the backpack.
